Pluss Website

Product Strategy, UX

Summary

pluss is a recruiting management company, for various industries in Germany. Despite a new modern look and higher performance, driving job applications via the job portal was a main goal of the relaunch.

The new website (www.pluss.de) includes a new job portal, with an optimized search, new industry landing pages and a new personalized application funnel. By answering some questions, the best job results are displayed for the user, which shall make it as easy as possible for the user to find the best fitting job positions.

What we've done

  1. Defined digital product vision + goal of the relaunch
  2. Target audience analysis, customer journeys
  3. Pitched Concept
  4. Set up project roadmap, defining MVP
  5. Set up new information architecture, including industry specific job portal
  6. UX Lead for main features including home page, search, job portal, job detail pages + application funnel

Challenges + solutions

1. Older + diverse target audience

One challenge in this project has been the diverse and also older target audience. pluss is offering jobs for e.g. the health, the school, the public sector wich are very different personas, including different digitalization experiences as well as website behavior. Thereby, we decided to offer industry specific landing pages as well as job portal entries, since most users come via SEO, searching for a specific job title in a specific city. SEO optimization of the information architecture as well as the job landing pages has been crucial in this project.

2. Dropout Rate application process

Another challenge has been the dropout rate during the application process. We optimized the application process by making the job search as easy as possible (already offering jobs nearby), as well as increasing the experience of filling out the application form and uploading documents. For users, who are not sure which job they are looking for - we offered a new open application process. By answering some questions (experiences, education, availability, city etc.) users can now get job suggestions instead of searching for a specific job.
